Camera Simulator

While using the Camera Simulator I have learned that there are many ways that you can use a camera. There are three main components to a camera in order to take a good picture which would be the aperture, ISO, and shutter speed. These three could be moved around in order to make the lighting brighter or darker which helps adjust the lighting to take a perfect picture. You need to find a perfect balance of these three in order to have good lighting for what you’re trying to take pictures of because if one is to high or to low then it could mess up the quality and brightness. Another thing that I have learned from using this website is that when the shutter speed is all the way up it makes the picture darker. Then when its low it makes the picture brighter which makes it hard to see what the picture is. These are some things that I have learned about the three components from using the website Camera Simulator.

What I Learned About Exposure

There are many things that I have learned about the main three components which are aperture, ISO, and shutter speed. One thing that I have learned is that aperture controls how much light can go into the camera from the area that its in. The f-stop of the aperture on the camera decreases but the opening area increases which means they do the opposite of each other. The aperture is what determines a photos depth field. A depth field is the distance from between the nearest and farthest objects. I was also able to learn that the shutter speed controls the time in which the exposure would start. It matters by where you put the setting for the shutter which determines how fast or slow the shutter will be closing to take the picture. It also controls when how much and for how much time light can be let in. For shutter speed when the exposure time doubles the amount of lighting coming in doubles. Shutter speed is also useful to freeze or exaggerate the motion of the picture which gives off a good affect. The use for the ISO is that it controls the sensitivity of the camera and only allows the amount of light needed. The ISO is similar to the shutter speed just that unlike the shutter speed the ISO being lower is almost always desirable because of they way that it makes the brightness. The ISO is normally left at its minimal value and is only increased if the aperture and shutter speed doesn’t get the right brightness. All three of this help in order to have the right amount of light in which helps in order to have a good picture. One thing that I have learned while learning about these three things is that when the aperture is on the lowest it can be which is 2.8 it puts more flash which makes the picture brighter. Then when the aperture is high at 22 it gets dark. But it doesn’t not get as dark as the shutter speed if it is high because when the shutter speed is as high as it can be you can’t see anything. When the shutter speed is low or even a bit low it gives off a lot of light which causes the picture to be bright or extremely bright. I’ve learned from this that you need to balance all three which is the shutter speed, aperture, and ISO. Most cameras have the same camera standard camera exposures. These camera exposures are Auto (green rectangle), Program (P), Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, Manual and Bulb mode. The Av, Tv, and M are sometimes called “creative modes” or “auto exposure (AE) modes.” All of these modes affect how shutter speed, aperture, and ISO are chosen for an exposure. Most of the time these modes are able to pick all three of these values or they pick one specific value which helps you to focus on it. Another thing that I’ve learned is that you need to balance these 3 controls in order to have the perfect lighting and helps to have a clear picture. There are many more things that you can learn about the controls of camera. But these are some of the things that I have learned about the camera controls and what there uses are and what they can do.
